This is an art activity in which student can make a tree showing 3 different seasons. Students can all complete the same season based upon the weather or could choose which season they would like to complete. Activity works on fine motor skills of scissors
and gluing.

Supply List:

  • Decoration schedule (pages 2, 3, 4)
  • Tree print out (page 6)
  • Scissors
  • Glue

How to Make:

  1. Laminate the schedules (Winter tree page 2, spring page 3 and fall page 4)
  2. Set up schedule. (For pull cards put on velcroed board, for check-off get marker to check steps as completed. )
  3. Help complete steps with student/child if needed following schedules.
  4. Have FUN!

How to Use:

Follow the steps listed on the schedule. Complete and either remove the pull card or check off the step before moving on to the next step. Some students/children may need this prompted. If the student/child tries to move on to the next step, block the next step with your hand and prompt back to checking off or pulling the card.

Additional Supports that may help:

If students struggle in completing you could take turns either cutting or gluing using my turn/ your turn cards to help the student understand when it is in fact their turn.

Other adaptations:

If you do not have a printer, you can draw your own tree and color paper to create the decorations. You can show the schedule on a device and scroll as you complete the steps, or write each step out.

This could be done at each different season as a way to show the changing season and growth throughout the year.
