2 page pdf that explains the concept of Schedule Mapping with a practice chart.

“Schedule mapping (Premack Principle) is a strategy that is used to proactively plan an individual’s day so that it is successful. It takes the individual’s likes and dislikes and balances them out to then build in motivation and allow for smooth transitions. By following a disliked activity with a liked activity, we are building in the motivation to complete the first, disliked activity to then move on to the next, liked activity. This will also set up for smoother transitions as they will want to move on to that liked activity and will leave the disliked. For this same reason, we want to consider following a liked activity with a neutral activity. If we followed a liked activity with a disliked activity, it may be a challenge to transition that individual away to another activity as they will not be motivated to go. There is a higher likelihood of a successful transition from a liked to a neutral than a liked to a disliked activity.”
